I found that my balloon ball was quite small and ended up pearl-shaped, rather than rounded. I went today to a friend's house and they had a proper balloon ball from Australia, and it was hexagonal not octagonal. So I've made a pattern from the balloon, which ended up much larger than mine. Out of the designs for the end bit, I think I personally prefer Emma Jones' pocket idea rather than a button hole. Interesting though none the less.
